Top 5 summer essentials for the curvy fashionista
It’s time to get ready for those warmer temps – and we’ve got the 5 items you’re going to need
to make it through the summer as a totally hip Fashionista!
A-LINE SKIRT
The A-line skirt is a classic, and is probably one of the best items a curvy gal can own. It’s fitted at the waist
and flairs out. It doesn’t hug in unflattering spots, and is usually knee length.
CAPRIS
Capris are a really cool way to dress down this summer. Get a pair of denim or khaki ones, and pair them with either plain
or fun printed shirts. If you’re going to go with capris that have a pattern, stay away from anything too large. The
bigger the print, the bigger you’ll look.
SARONG
Sarong’s are awesome for summer, and really help add sophistication to what otherwise could be a fairly boring swimsuit.
They’re flirty and light, and can be worn so many ways: short, long, tied in the front or on the side. Definitely a
must-have.
BUILT IN BRA TOPS
I would like to kiss the person who invented tanks, halter and tube tops that have built in bras. It takes the guess work
out of wearing some of the hottest summer styles. You don’t need to worry about bra straps, funny tan lines or not having
the support you need. While they don’t offer a lot of support, they keep everything in place. Fantastic!
TANKINI
This one was a given. The tankini is certainly the swimsuit of the season. Support in the top, nice coverage in the tummy,
a hint of skin, and comfy boy shorts or bikini bottoms. Make sure when tankini shopping you buy separates if you’re a different size on top than the bottom. It allows you to get the best fit, and if you get pieces
that aren’t the same print, you can add pieces to it as the summer goes on, and you can end up with a really cool set
of suits.

Dressing For Parties
What to wear to any event
Dressing for events like parties can be really frustrating, especially when you're young. Thankfully, being a teen gives
you a license to play with your style, and have fun making things work for you. But sometimes, you can just get stuck. To
help, I've put together some outfits that would be appropriate for each type of party.
For Girls:
1 – The Formal Event This has got to be one of the easiest parties to dress for. The basis for every great
formal or dressy outfit is a little black dress. Accessories are really going to make this outfit shine. Find out how to do it right here.
2 – The Semi Formal Event This is a tricky one. You don't want to under dress, but you don't want to show
up in formal attire. This outfit features gauchos, as an alternative to the expected skirt or pants. Gauchos, done right can
look stunning. Check it out here.
I've also put together a pretty plus size outfit for a semi formal party. This look starts with a little black dress, but
really gets spiced up with golden accessories. Embrace your curves with this outfit.
3 – The Hot Party Dressing for this party can be really fun and exciting. There are very little rules to
follow, other than one: be comfortable. This is the type of party where you'll be on your feet, dancing, having a great time,
and the last thing you want is to be sore. Be sexy and comfy with this outfit.
4 – The House Party / Casual Party This party is really low key, but feel free to dress is up a bit. The
basis of a casual look is jeans. Start with a great pair of jeans, and go from there. I love the addition of the bolero in
this look... it's really fun! Get some ideas here.
For plus size girls, I've put together a fun outfit that gets dressed up by silver ballet flats, and a fun oversize bag. Be casually sexy in this outfit.
5 – For Guys: The Semi Formal / Dressy Party After hosting a semi formal dinner party, I realized that guys have a really hard time trying to figure out what to wear to a semi formal
event. Semi formal doesn't mean you need to wear a tux! Check out this cool semi formal outfit, that isn't overdone.
6 – For Guys: The House Party / Casual Party This is a chance for guys to really change it up. Instead
of your normal jeans and t-shirt uniform, try something a little different. This party outfit combines casual jeans, and a
few items a little more interesting. Give it a shot!

experimenting with different looks, be sure to get your fill of the gorgeous summer dresses that promise to be on every corner.
Here are my top 6 summer dresses for summer 2005.
This look really made waves last summer when US based company Cool Change released their smocked dress with
sequins. This year, the look is more affordable at Old Navy, with the same cute shape and sequin embellishments. This is a
dress you can wear alone, or over jeans on a chilly night. Buy Direct

I love this summer dress, and even more, I love it in white. It's great for day to day wear, and will make
your tan look amazing! Also, the spaghetti strap and ruffled bottom make it really easy to dress this down to everyday, but
also dress it up for evening. If you're not into white, this dress is also available in coral and pink. Buy Direct
When you're a plus size, it's hard to find a flattering dress. But this will be the only summer dress you're
going to want to wear this summer 2005. The v-neck neckline and silver sequin waistband give it a trendy edge, and the long
flowy skirt is going to be so pretty. If you opt for a more modest look, you can pair this with jeans. Buy Direct
The nautical look tends to rear it's head just about every summer season, but this season it's even more popular
than ever. This striped dress with tube top and keyhole totally takes the cake. it's tight fitting and looks great with a
goold old summer staple : flip flops. Buy Direct

How To : Wear White Pants
White pants are a really fun summer look, and a big part of fashion for the summer 2005 season. White pants create such
a pretty and crisp look, but they can also be difficult to wear. Here's a how to to make the most of the white pants look.
Difficulty: Average
Time Required: N/A
Here's How:
1. The right length can make or break this look. For the most part, white can make you look
bigger than you are, so having the right inseam length will help you create a slimming effect. When pants are cropped, they
cut off the leg and make it look thicker, so when you're shopping for white pants, make sure they're floor length, or a little longer.
2. Keeping with the length topic, you're going to want to pair heels (or shoes with a heel)
with white pants. You want to look taller to make the pants flattering. Try either a really pretty round toe pump, or a fun
metallic silver kitten heel sandal.
3. Make sure you get the right style of pant for your body type. If you're really thin, go for
a fun skinny jean. If you're a plus size, look for a white pant that has a pinstripe. Taller girls, you can even go wide leg
with a cool cuff.
4. Don't be afraid to go all white. Pair your white pants with a pretty white sequin camisole
or fun tunic. This is going to be especially wonderful when you've got a great dark tan.
5. Contrasting will also make these pants complete rock stars. I wear mine with a black crinkle
camisole with lace detailing and a fun turquoise shell necklace. Don't be afraid to add color to bring those white pants to
life!
Tips:
- Because white pants are really dressy, keep them for nights out, parties and dinners. Don't forget to carry a really chic
bag, too!
- Don't dress them down with a basic tee – the goal of the look is to look really fresh and polished

The Panty Proflies : A Guide to Women's Underwear.
Thongs and Hipster Boy Shorts
There are so many types of girls out there... shoe girls, purse girls, jeans girls, accessory girls... but there's one type of girl that is rarely spoken of... the underwear girl. She takes
as much pride in her panties as she does in her strappy sandals. While most of us drool over gorgeous Marc Jacobs shoes, she's
at Victoria's Secrets, drooling over all things satin and lace. If you're not an underwear girl, you're about to get all the
info you need on the types of underwear out there... by the end of this article, you may become one yourself! Thong
Thongs have been most popular in the past with exotic dancers. And for a long time, they were the only women who were brave
enough to wear them. But soon, women in South America took the concept to swimsuit and started a revolution. Thongs became
commonplace in countries like Brazil, and American women would go south of the border and wear them, knowing they wouldn't
fly here in the states. Once everyone caught on to the trend, singer Sisqo released a song entitled the “Thong Song”
and suddenly, mainstream America was onto this trend and it began to gain popularity with average women all over. So,
what types of thongs are there? More than you would think! Here are the most popular types, and what they mean:
G-String Thong: G-String thongs are the type of thong that is strictly string, with no coverage at all. Likely
to be the least comfortable.
Tanga: Tangas are a step up from your average bikini underwear, with nearly a full seat.
T-Back: T-Backs are very obviously named. They form a perfect “T” shape in the back.
Rio: This is the most popular style of thong, with straps that rise up on the sides, rather them going straight
across the back.
Why you would wear a thong: Thongs are usually worn to prevent VPL - Visible Panty Line – which some say is
a worse travesty than socks with sandals. Hipster / Boy short
Ahh, this is my pair of choice. I absolutely LOVE hispter / boy short underwear. It's the most comfortable and fun type
of underwear I've ever tried. This type of underwear provides a full seat and a cool, laid back sporty look. They're cut more
like shorts, and are usually low rise. They're great to wear under jeans and for working out. They usually hit right at the
hip, and have full coverage. The difference between hipsters and boy shorts is that boyshorts tend to have a bit of a leg
in them while hipsters are cut off the the thigh.
What type of girl wears hipsters / boy shorts? Someone who's athletic and someone who likes to be comfy under their
uber fashionable clothes. PAGE 2 : Read on for info on Bikini's and Briefs
